Auditor Program

The C.G. Jung Institute of New England, Inc. has opened its Stage l seminars to qualified persons through the Auditor Program. To deepen knowledge about themselves and Jungian psychology, auditors attend and participate in the seminars with the Institute’s training candidates. Auditors may include individuals who are personally or professionally interested in Jung and his ideas and also clinicians who want to enrich and broaden their clinical perspectives. Admission to the Auditor program is not a first step towards acceptance into the Institute’s Training Program although a person admitted to the auditor program may apply to the training program in accord with the admissions requirements for the Analyst Training Program at the C.G. Jung Institute of New England, Inc. Auditors throughout their participation in the auditor program are required to maintain a personal analysis with a Jungian analyst. Auditors must agree to maintain the confidentiality of all case material discussed. Auditors who are licensed clinicians may be able to receive continuing education credits for their attendance in the program. Auditors will be assigned to a mentor and expected to meet with his or her mentor each semester.

Information for Applicants

We are accepting applications for the Fall 2024 training and auditor programs, deadline May 1st.

To determine an applicant’s suitability for the auditor program, the Admissions Committee places special emphasis on the life experience and personal qualities of the applicant, his or her academic and professional achievements, and a demonstration of an aptitude for understanding basic Jungian theory.

Admissions requirements for the Auditor Program include the following:

At the time of application, the applicant must have completed 100 hours of analysis with a member or members of the International Association of Analytical Psychology (IAAP). The 100 hours may be in-person, virtually, or any combination of both. In addition, upon application, the applicant must currently be in an analysis with an IAAP member. A letter from the analyst(s) confirming the applicant’s current status and documenting the total hours of analysis must be submitted with the application.

A bachelor’s degree, and preferably, a graduate degree.

An autobiographical essay in which the applicant seeks to convey his or her suitability for the auditor program by addressing: life experiences and personal qualities, academic and professional achievement, and a deep interest in Jungian thought and practice. The suggested length of the essay is six to ten pages.

Meeting with individual Admissions Committee members and, subsequently, with the Committee as a whole.

An application packet may be requested from the Institute’s Administrator Deborah Warfield. The deadline for application to fall semester is May 1^st and for spring semester is September 1^st. A non-refundable application fee of $100 must accompany the application. An applicant will be notified by mail as to whether or not an admissions interview has been granted once the Admissions Committee has reviewed the application materials. The non-refundable interview fee is $250, to be paid directly to the administrator.

Classes currently meet one weekend a month for 9 months, September through December and February through June generally the first weekend of each month. Classes meet Friday evening from 4:00-8:00, Saturday 9:00-6:00 and Sunday 9:00-4:00 for a total of 18 hours of class time each weekend.
