The World Within: C. G. Jung in his Own Words       Documentary directed by Suzanne Wagner

“Grandly informal footage of Jung who presents his ideas with the greatest clarity”  LA Times

The C.G. Jung Institute-Boston is pleased to present the second in a film series curated by the Institute, dedicated to disseminating CG Jung’s life, ideas, and impact with the wider community.  Three analysts will participate in an audience-inspired dialogue following viewing this 6o-minute film. The first film, Face to Face: A BBC Interview with Jung was screened in February, 2015.

Jung states, “When you observe yourself from within you see a stream of images…while you live your conscious life, a myth is being played in the unconscious”.  In this hour-long documentary, Jung discusses the necessity of spending time with oneself to explore ones dreams and fantasies, which have the potential to bring a sense of wholeness and order to the conscious life.  He also states, “It may be that what the unconscious has to say, you may not want to hear…the images of the unconscious place a great responsibility on man.”  Jung elaborates that when you observe an aspect of your own inner life, you are also observing an aspect of the world.
